Picnic Outdoor Recycled Outdoor Weaves

Teklan’s passion for colour and form harmonises with Kirkby Design's commitment to sustainability and innovation in this collaborative collection of recycled outdoor weaves. Tekla Evelina Severin, known as 'Teklan', is a renowned Swedish colourist and designer celebrated for her distinctive use of colour blocking and warm, striking interior designs.

Crafted from 100% recycled polypropylene sourced from pre-consumer waste, this fibre uses no water during production and has a 40% lower carbon footprint compared to virgin polypropylene yarn. Reflective of modern outdoor living, the four designs, PICNIC, SUNNY, BASKET and UNWIND are aptly named after the quintessential elements of a picnic, a blue sky, a basket of delicacies, and a perfect spot to unwind in the sun. The palette is everything you would expect from Teklan and more, fresh lilacs are paired with zesty yellows, rich greens with bright blues and deep reds with tangerine orange. Innovative, distinctive and bold, this palette encourages experimentation and guarantees a contemporary outdoor setting.

Each design has all the attributes expected of an outdoor quality including good colour fastness to light, chlorine and salt water, as well as being water, oil, soil and mould resistant and breathable.

The PICNIC collection is Oeko-Tex certified meaning the fabric is free from harmful chemicals.
